That's good that 1.4.2 seems to clear up the issues. Now that I have a better
idea of your platform setup, I'm going to go back and have another look at
using JDK 1.5 with Orbacus on Sun. You should be able to move to JDK 1.5
soon, as we plan to include support for JDK 1.5 in the upcoming release of
Orbacus.

Just to make sure I'm matching up the JDKs as closely as possible, can you
give me the output of the 'java -version' command on your system using JDK
1.5?

Again, this is good news, though unexpected. I'm surprised that rebuilding
Orbacus for Java would have an effect on the C++ portion, but it is good to
hear that everything is working now. I've done some more testing on Solaris
with the nameserv and eventserv applications and they have been fine, so
hopefully you shouldn't run into any more problems here.

Can you also tell me which C++ compiler you used to build the C++ nameserv
and eventserv executables?

Regards,
Darren
