Hi Darren, Please see my comments below: > -----Original Message----- > From: Darren Middleman [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Thursday, April 21, 2005 3:25 AM > To: Andrey Mikhalchuk > Cc: [email protected]; 'Packet411 Corporation' > Subject: Re: [OB-Users] bugs/problems with Orbacus 4.2.2 > > Hi Andrey, > > Please see my comments inlined below: > > > [...] > > > > Ok, I see. Here it is: java version "1.5.0_02" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_02-b09) Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.5.0_02-b09, mixed mode) > > [...] > > > > > > I assume that since you are referring to the applications as nameserv > and > > > eventserv that these are the C++ executables and not the Java versions > of > > > the Name Service and Event Service. I'm surprised that > rebuilding > Orbacus for Java would have an effect on the C++ portion, but it is good Right, that looks strange. BTW, I actually had one more strange effect noticed on Windows when I was sending a lot of events to eventserv (also C++) and then shutdown all consumers and later all suppliers. After some time (already without any load on it) eventserv took all CPU resources and then crashed. The situation repeated twice. Unfortunately I can't report this as bug because after that I switched to Solaris and have not enough details about the situation - probably I compiled it incorrectly. Also that crash appeared in Windows+Cygwin environment and was not repeatable under pure Windows conditions. But in principle I think that is possible that recompiling event producers and consumers using different JDK may affect eventserv functionality. Please do not assume that example as a bug report because the problem I experienced was in the environment not supported by IONA and I'm not ready to provide more details. > to > hear that everything is working now.
