Different behaviour on different platform?

Hi Olivier

I tested our robot controller on different platforms:
A) SuSE Linux 8.2 on my laptop and
B) Win XP on my PC,
both running webots version 4.0.17 and the same controller classfile.
While on Linux our robot SickBoy is able to make some real "steps" and,
most important, to move forward, on Windows he does not move himself an
inch. It looks like there would be no friction at all, the feet just slip
over the ground. Have you any clue, what could cause this different
behaviour? My laptop is not really good for testing out, because it runs
webots awfully slow...

And another one: Our controller semms to not work in the contest at all,
while locally it works. We put the SickBoy.class file on the server. Is it
necessary to upload the SickBoy$Gene.class file that has been built when
compiling Sickboy.java as well? Or are there other things to look for?

Thanks for any help,
Christoph
