Hi all !

It is nice to see that the contest will carry on after April :-) It has become
very interesting and exciting to watch, and i wonder what these robots will
be able to do in a few months....
Concerning the new contest, I would say :
- Like Xavier, I think there should be no restriction in the number of falls,
otherwise lots of nice moves won't be possible anymore. What's more it seems
very difficult to control balance in real-time so as to stay stable when hit.
But controling balance could be an interesting way to decide which robot wins
after 2 minutes . Instead of taking the greatest distance, it could be the
robot that stayed the most above the threshold limit (and add with the 5s
count down , a counter for the above-threshold time elapsed). What else, it
could be nice to have that value available at any moment from the supervisor,
so as to change strategy to that respect during a match.
- I think Xavier's idea of ten round matches for the 10 first participants is
very significant, especially for the 7th April (and even before if possible)
- Another suggestion for the new contest is to have two cameras instead of one
so as to make it possible to assess distance with binocular vision. At the
moment, it is impossible to determine what is the distance of a point on the
camera without prior knowledge of its height. With two cameras, that would
make it possible.

Good luck all,
and have fun!
