Extend time after calling robotDie( )

Could you extend the time that the supervisor waits after calling robotDie( ) before stopping the robot controller's program.  I tried to write a 100K byte data file in the robotDie( ) routine and the write was terminated after only writing 5K.   Waiting 2 or 3 seconds would let the robotDie( ) routine complete.
