BIR 2021 invites papers for the Doctoral Consortium of Business Informatics=
 Research. Papers must be related to the topics of the BIR 2021 Conference.
The 20th International Conference on Perspectives in Business Informatics R=
esearch (BIR 2021) invites papers for the Doctoral Consortium of Business I=
nformatics Research. Papers must be related to the topics of the BIR 2021 C=
onference.

The Doctoral Consortium of Business Informatics Research is intended to be =
a forum for researchers who are doctoral students with the purpose to discu=
ss their PhD research work. The participants in the Doctoral Consortium wil=
l have the opportunity to present their papers, engage in discussions with =
the faculty members and receive feedback from them in order to improve thei=
r doctoral theses. Moreover, the participants in the Doctoral Consortium wi=
ll have the opportunity to identify research issues that are related to the=
ir research interest and exchange knowledge with other doctoral students.

Papers should reflect the current status of the author's PhD project, prese=
nting a problem statement and research questions, scientific framing agains=
t existing literature in the problem domain, the research design and method=
, the proposed contribution and results achieved so far, as well as existin=
g or planned evaluations of the contribution.

Papers Selection
All Doctoral Consortium papers should have a PhD student as single author, =
describing that student's PhD work. Papers that happen to have a PhD studen=
t among authors, i.e. not focusing on an individual's doctoral research pro=
gress, should be directed either to the main conference or to the workshops=
, allowing the Doctoral Consortium to focus on its expected mission

All the papers submitted to the Doctoral Consortium will be reviewed by two=
 faculty members who are senior researchers in business informatics. The pa=
pers will be evaluated based on the following criteria: relevance, original=
ity, appropriate research methodology, research contribution, and clarity. =
The accepted papers will be discussed with the faculty members. The authors=
 of accepted papers will be invited to revise their papers based on the fee=
dback received from the reviewers of the Doctoral Consortium, and resubmit =
it for publication in a CEUR-WS proceedings volume.

We welcome both full papers (12 pages) and short papers (6 pages). The pape=
rs should be in PDF format and be prepared using the Springer guidelines an=
d the template available here.

The proceedings of the BIR 2021 doctoral consortium and workshops are inten=
ded to be published together as one volume in CEUR-WS.org series.
