No problem with that. Monitoring and Management are two very different  
task and can thus easily be done by different tools. Though I  
recommend to have a second look at the management abilities of MA or  
QB. In particular QB is a really nice working tool for ad hoc changes,  
script editing, schema management etc. Maybe it is unstable on Mac (I  
use it for basic tasks on a daily basis without trouble, but you might  
have found some weak area), but on Windows it's definitely stable  
enough for serious work.

In particular for beginners it's very helpful by providing all the  
syntax for the SQL language right in the tool, including all the  
functions, operators etc. You can directly jump to the particular  
section in the docs. It appears on a separate tab and you can switch  
back and forth between the doc and your input/result area.
