You should have the IMP_FULL_DATABASE role enabled and granted to you in order to import a file exported by another user/dba. get you dba to grant you the IMP_FULL_DATABASE role. -----Original Message----- From: Osasona Charles [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, February 27, 2003 10:20 AM To: Oracle Subject: [oracle] Updating Database at Remote computer Hello friends, I have been having problem updating my Oracle database in the Remote area. The oracle runs on Windows platform and i am using Oracle 8. I had earlier uploaded my database of which I now need to update by creating more table, changing the content of the tables etc. I try to create an Exported file and later Import it using the IMPORT Command, but I keep on receiving error message that: "IMP-00013: only a DBA can import a file export by another DBA IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully" I have already contacted my host company but I was told that DBA Access can not be given to me since the Oracle server I am using is a shared type. Please what I am can I do and how can I accomplish this.
