RE: online backup of oracle on sco server

Since you are doing this from a 7.3 version to a newer version, 8.1 the best
way is to do an full export of the database from 7.3 and have the file
imported in 8.1. just make sure the script cat7exp.sql is run in the 8.1
instance. this is found in the [oracle_home]/rdbms/admin directory. this
script should be run by the user SYS when connected via SVRMGRL command line
tool. this script will set up the version 7 export script compatible with
the version 8 db export script.

I am having oracle server (7.3) installed on Sco unix
5 and want to take online backup of the database on to
NT server where another oracle server (8.1)  is
installed. 

Solution is expected.
