Please respond to
"Oracle"
Hi,
My Oracle database version is 7.3. I need to connect to the database from
Windows XP.
However the Oracle 7.3 client does not support Windows XP.
So, I try out with Oracle 9i client. I managed to setup the connection by
using the Oracle 8 release 8.0 database or service option.
My question is will there be any problem with this configuration? The
actual version is 7.3 but at client side it is connecting as Oracle 8.
Will the data manipulation be affected?
Is there any other way to connect to Oracle 7.3 from Windows XP? Can Oracle
8i client solve this problem?
Pls advise.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
