How can I clear Logvolumes in SAPDB?

There are 3 LOGVolume files I like to clear, I was looking in DBMGUI, but I did not see anywhere. I do have complete SAPDB backup, I would like to know: 1) Can I backup these 3 "LOGVolumes" LOG001, LOG002 and LOG003 (each 4 GB) on a disk, instead of tape? 2) How can I clear these LOG files? 3) Is there a way to turn the archive log OFF in SAPDB just like in Oracle?
