Thank you all for your feedback! No one has claimed the free six pack,
though. So that's still on the table if you guys keep on helping out
;-) I tried what Freddy and jkl suggested. Upgraded to 0.82 and setup
my freetds.conf file and ran the following tsql command:

TDSDUMPCONFIG=stdout tsql -H weblink -p 1433 -U WLafINhaanmcRO

Still no server connection. The most interesting parts:

Msg 20017, Level 9, State -1, Server OpenClient, Line -1
Unexpected EOF from the server

Adaptive Server connection failed
There was a problem connecting to the server

Bob chimed in via a direct email that suggested I would need to use
something beyond the 0.82 release and compile with gnutls instead of
openssl. I'm going down that road unless others think that is a
mistake. Again, please lend your thoughts to this -- I'm trying my
best to get it working, but I keep hitting a brick wall. Thank you
guys so much for your help!
