I've now done
./autogen.sh --with-tdsver=7.2
make
make install

select [Attachment].[attaFilename], [Attachment].[attaContent] from
[Attachment] WHERE ([Attachment].[attaId] = 10239)

works now, this is the minimum data I need.

However

select [Attachment].[attaId], [Attachment].[attaRefTable],
[Attachment].[attaRefKey], [Attachment].[attaHidden],
[Attachment].[attaFilename], [Attachment].[attaContent],
[Attachment].[attaAdded], [Attachment].[attaAddedBy],
[Attachment].[attaComments], [Attachment].[attaDocumentCode]
FROM [Attachment]
WHERE ([Attachment].[attaId] = 10239)

doesn't work, it outputs
