Personaly, I use ROX within Unity (Ubuntu), and this works perfectly well
for handling usb sticks and a bit less well for network mount points (and
it works well on 3 years old netbook-class hardware).

So, I would wonder if integrating that feature inside ROX is a good idea,
or making sure that ROX knows how to interact with external tools for doing
so.
