The more stream processors the better. The 8400 is the lowest end card that supports CUDA from what I can see. It has only 8 or 16 stream processors. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_8_Series) The higher end cards obviously produce faster results, the same as in the CPU clients. A modern high-end GTX280 produces some 500MKeys/s or more.
