you are evidently missing the fact that there are logs with each machine's 
contribution... one need only analyze those logs for individual and overall stats ;)

i've never noticed any hiding of any rate information in the client logs... at 
one time i had analysis scripts running on each workstation for those interested 
in the client's reported stats...

as i noted previously, LAN traffic is not the problem... it is the WAN traffic 
to dnet's donated servers and pipes that can be the bottleneck... this was one 
of the reasons why they created the perproxy in the first place ;)
