This has been a "problem" for several years now, but as Charles noted there is nothing that has to be "fixed", really. Updating the documentation would be nice, but the mailing lists seem help most people. Anyhow, for OpenBSD -current (3.8 beta) I use -d200000 for both httpd and ftpd in the i386 architecture. For amd64 I had to use ten times that for httpd and even more (-d2400000) for ftpd. I imagine all those numbers could be reduced a bit, but I have no real need to do so.
