No smtpd log

Hi,

I¹ve been scouring my run files to try and determine why I¹m getting no logs
written to /var/log/qmail/smtpd whatsoever.  I¹m not sure what information
to post to help debug this problem, but perhaps someone could give me some
hints as to where to look so that I can debug it myself.

My qmail installation is as per Dave Sill¹s ³The qmail Handbook².
