I strongly doubt it, but I may misunderstand what you have in mind.
The Symbol Table, as well as Parse Tree, and Type Repository, are
very much C++-specific (i.e. they need to implement the semantics
of the C++ specification).
On the other hand, the higher level representation(s) like what we
currently call AST (but which is quite misleading, as here S stands for
Syntax, which is precisely what the A as Abstract abstracts away :-) ),
strives for language independence, as much as is practical. (We currently
support C, C++, Python, and IDL, and other languages could possibly be
added, if someone contributes parsers for them.)
Not sure whether that is what you mean by 'platform-independent' vs.
'platform-dependent'.
