Re: FormLayout & Swixml Marriage

When Swixml started about 10 month ago, it was thought to become a far less
powerful tool without the support for JFC Layouts.However, as it turned out,
Swixml without Layouts requires a lot of custom Java code to write and so it
was added in.
Unfortunately, this strategy change still shows in the design.

With the support for Mac OS X, I consider the Swiml 1.0 syntax complete and
hope to publish Swixml 1.0 (final) by the end of this month. Looking foward,
I think most forum members agree that Layout-Support is the area that needs
attention early on when we move ahead with Version 2

I already head email-discussions with some forum members and other swixml
users. The common understanding was to promote 'layout' from an attribute to
a tag. Details have not been finalized but I think I would like to go that
route.

Being neither a jGoodies nor an SWT expert, I don't know how this would
support Gabe, Jochen, and Brian's goals  ...
