I don't' want way beyond layout... I also don't want XUL. I just want to define all my swing widgets in XML jelly swing will let me do this but it goes too far. Too much functional xml when I just want widgets. I like the MVC way of programming.. the idea of functions in my layout irks me. as for plug-in architectures there's actually a generic plug-in architecture project on sourceforge that a friend of mine's working on. Should be able to drop into pretty much any system. And I doubt wolf really wants to code a whole new one (even if it does co-opt existing concepts)... I know I don't. -Kate Gerald Bauer wrote: >Hello Kate, > > > >>something else we need, or, *I* think we need, >>though is support of sub >>tags... for example >> >><combobox ....> >> <option... ></option> >> <option... ></option> >></combobox> >> >>I know wolf doesn't want to support the dynamic >>population of combo >>boxes in SWIXML as it starts to veer off into the >>world of functional >>xml instead of strict layout xml but as a 3rd party >>it's something I'd >>really like to add.
