I am a little concerned that a typical Linux hacker's idea of an embedded system is a small form-factor i386-based motherboard with at least 128MB of RAM and a multi-gigabyte hard drive. And running Linux, of course. This isn't a very realistic view of many commercial systems, IMO. You could always try developing on the Sega Dreamcast...:) As a development platform, it has the very lowest barrier to entry of any console out there. > Mike, have you decided to use another toolkit for your DC media box? > Haven't heard from you in a while. The DC thing got put on the back burner. I'm always shifting around to different projects. It could come back to the forefront at any time. -- -Mike Melanson
