Too deep for me?  See how he manages this, folks?  He never tires of 
berating others for making personal- rather than factual arguments, 
and then, in each post, he does the same.  Stick to the facts, 
Payne.  Computerworld owns the copyright on their articles.  
Granted.  Computerworld allows their articles to be e-mailed.  This 
cannot be disputed.  The article was e-mailed to the list.  QED.

As for my understanding of copyright, I don't need your feeble, 
amateur help to refine it.  My father and brother are world leaders 
in the music publishing field.  My father was a consultant to the US 
congress on the subject when the last major US Copyright law 
revision was being formulated (1976).  He lives and breathes 
copyright and I absorbed plenty while I was growing up.  Give up.  
Your argument is pathetic.
