So Phil, do you now imply that it is ok to run XA and ESA OSes (ie License Only OSes) on P/390s without raising your own skull & crossbones flag flying high because of the scope of "any potential problem"? Would the 9221-191 for $1,300 or so on eBay permit one to run any licensed software because it is a rarity nowdays? What is the potential problem anyway? Loss of OS revenues? Numerous newbie sysprogs interested in learning mainframe environment but not knowing they should pay homage at some shrine somewhere?
