I was merely responding to the poster's lament that IBM hardware was 
beyond his means.   I pointed him to an IBM offering (not a FSI 
offering, an IBM offering) calculated to be accessable by developers.  
If I recall, there was some potentially valuable discussion that 
followed discussing the need for an even less expensive and widely 
applicable alternative.   I don't see where any of that was off base. 
(leg before wicket for you Brits)

I read in your post an intention to essentially block any response from 
me reaching the Herc list as you can't be certain when you'll get any 
free time to consider moderated replies.  Seems to me to be a drummed up 
charge whose underlying facts have been misrepresented in order to gain 
some ulterior desired effect.   Thank G-d you run only a yahoo group, 
not a country.

In case this message itself doesn't make it to the list due to your 
gatekeeping, I am copying it to Jay as well.  You can work it out 
between the two of you to do what the Herc list members collectively 
feel is right.
