Well I went to an optometrist to have my eyes tested, as I am no longer able to read the small print on bottles, and wanted to know which sort of glasses I needed from the pharmacist. They were talking about bifocals because I failed in both close and long distances in their tests, and she asked me what I wanted to do. I said that I wanted to put the bottles right next to my eyes to read them. I had mentioned whether I just needed a magnifying glass, and she confirmed that that was all I needed in order to do what I wanted, so now I carry a magnifying glass around in my bag. For my phone I chose the larger fonts so that I can read SMS. I am happy that I don't need to wear glasses, and probably into the future thanks to qemu -full-screen. I am looking forward to reading all these text-based messages in fixed font using qemu connected to Hercules and either MVS or PDOS/3x0. BFN. Paul.
