You need to decide if you want to be legal or illegal. Legal there are two options: 1. Run TK4- which is an old version of MVS (the OS), which has an old Cobol plus a KICKS to replace CICS. No DB2 though. Not sure if SQLite is available on TK4-. 2. Buy zPDT from IBM for a few thousand dollars and you will get z/OS as the OS plus I believe you get the rest of the stuff like CICS. You can probably legally run that on Hercules. Illegal there is one option: 1. Find the ADCD somewhere which has z/OS and everything else you need for modern operation. Please don't ask me personally where to get the ADCD, as I've never even bothered to type that into a search engine. I use MVS/380, which is similar to TK4-. For normal use, TK4- is better than MVS/380. BFN.
