But I doubt you'd be able to sniff or inject Ethernet packets from/into such a device using WinPCap (or even NPCap for that matter). Thus I'm seriously doubting such a bridge would be able to be used for Hercules networking. For normal socket stuff, sure, but given the low level direct device driver access required in order for it to work properly as a Hercules networking device (i.e. support for direct 802.3 Ethernet packet sniffing / injection directly onto/from the device queue a la WinPCap) I'm seriously doubting such a bridge could be used for Hercules networking. (I.e. I'm doubting WinPCap would recognize such a bridge as a device that it could use.) Now if OpenVPN supported packet sniffing/injection then *maybe* your idea *might* work, but I don't think it does. I've traveled down this road before Ivan and believe me, it's a dead end. :( Hercules networking -- at least on Windows (i.e. CTCI-WIN due to WinPCap limitations) -- simply does not (will not) work with wifi (wireless) adapters..
