NDIS 5.x may be deprecated, but it's still supported and will likely *continue* to be supported for quite a while yet:

NDIS 6.x may be *recommended* for newer driver development, but AFAIK it is not *required* (nor will it likely ever be).

I suspect WinPCap 4.13 (and thus CTCI-WIN) will continue to work fine for quite a few years yet.
