 PMFJI here, but wouldn't it be prudent (and perhaps even forward-looking) to run a test to see if the NPCAP back-support for the WinPCAP functionality also works with CTCI-WIN in at least Win10 environments?
 

 You as the CTCI-WIN developer would be in the best technical position to evaluate whether or not that software combination works or not.  In your copious spare time of course.

 

 Just a thought for a (possible) future state where / when WinPCAP 4.13 is no longer downloadable.

 NDIS 5.x may be deprecated, but it's still supported and will likely *continue* to be supported for quite a while yet:

 NDIS 6.x may be *recommended* for newer driver development, but AFAIK it is not *required* (nor will it likely ever be).
 
 I suspect WinPCap 4.13 (and thus CTCI-WIN) will continue to work fine for quite a few years yet.
