 no need to use the console mode setting, given that daemon mode is your normal mode of operation: start_herc always uses console mode, independently from what is set for unattended operations (nothing else would make sense).
 

 So, you simply follow this sequence:
 

 start_herc
 wait for the TK4- logon to appear on the Hercules Console

 attach 9 3215-c
 detach 1f
 ipl 148
 wait for message IEA101A SPECIFY SYSTEM PARAMETERS FOR RELEASE 03.8 .VS2
 /r 00,cmd=37,clpa


 wait until after RAKF activation
 /z eod
 /quiesce
 quit
