Though, to me, newsgroups implies Usenet, which comes with it's own complications. Though it is possible. That being said, I'd be happy to host a mailing list (currently Mailman), files (web presence), and provide a Usenet gateway. I'm happy to help regain access to one (or more) of the domains mentioned in this thread and leverage it. I'm cool with any other domain name too. I'll agree that groups.io is a common suggestion. But I don't think a common suggestion is a consensus. I'm confident that there are more subscribers to the list that have not yet shared their opinion.
