Yes. Like every other Yahoo Groups mailing list. This has been going
on for YEARS.

It has always been a "must have", but people start these lists, feel a
little too good about "owning" them, don't share the responsibility, and
then disappear. These people are jerks, plain and simple. Such people
need to be kept out of the next iteration, or this will just happen
again. If the owner of a list disappears, ownership must be taken from
that person and given to someone else, promptly. These types of
situations tend to deteriorate quickly, and material (and communities)
are lost as a result.

The groups.io system has migration tools that automatically move all
subscribers, all message archives, all files, etc etc in a few hours. I
encourage everyone who cares about it to have offline copies of this
material on THEIR OWN COMPUTERS...i.e. not "google drive" or whatever
BS, which is SOMEONE ELSE'S COMPUTER and can go away at any time...just
like Yahoo Groups is doing now.
