An FTP PUT from Windows to z/OS will break it. It’s that simple.  Sometimes it works, perhaps if the file is small enough.

FTP works great if I use the Wi-Fi connection.  Then , without changing anything in z/OS, if I use the onboard NIC (cable) it breaks very easily.
