Double check all of your routes on both systems: "ipconfig -all" and "route print".

Then double check your router too. Maybe you added a special rule in your router to route traffic to/from your two systems or made some other configuration setting in your router that you forgot about? (It's easy to forget about such things.)

Brian suggestion of using Wireshark is also a very good one. If you have not installed it, please do so and learn how to use it. Wireshark is INVALUABLE in helping resolve networking issues.

It also wouldn't hurt to try connecting your onboard NIC (cable) adapter to a different router port either. Sometimes some router ports work better than other ones.

Finally, it also wouldn't hurt to check to see if maybe there is a newer updated device driver available for your onboard NIC (cable) adapter. Maybe there is a know bug in your onboard NIC (cable) adapter's device driver? Maybe updating its device driver might fix this unusual problem?

Just some things to think about/consider...

(And I would take Brian's advice and do only *exactly* what he says. He knows what he's doing!)
