You can look online for the x3270 documentation. You can specify a
specific keyboard mapping with the -keymap option to x3270. Per the
documentation the keyboard map x3270.keymap.base should give you the
mapping for the insert key that you expect. The keyboard mapping may
vary depending on the type of keyboard you are using, the languaage,
etc. The reference I found was at
