Actually, we're both correct.

OS/VS1 (the successor to MFT)  only supported a single  virtual address space and OS/SV2 SVS (the successor to MVT) supported a single virtual address space. OS/VS2 SVS was supposed to be a stopgap measure til the release of OS/VS2 MVS.

No, OS/VS1 was the VS equivalent of MFT and OS/VS2 was the VS equivalent of MVT.  SVS was OS/VS2 release 1 and MVS was OS/VS2 release 2.
