xterm-5250 terminal type

Hello, good day.

 

I just downloaded, installed and try to run tn5250 0.17.4.

I read the issue about it won’t run under X (showing a fast flash terminal
and then disappearing) because of “the termcap or terminfo entry for the
`xterm-5250’ terminal type does not exist…” comment in the README file.

It doesn’t provide what to do about that though.  Does one have to include a
line with this text in some configuration file(s) to correct this?  Or am I
unable to run it at all?
