Well, the public resource is still here. Just check out ReWind or the WineHQ
tree before the license change. So I do not see why anything was polluted
here.
Care to exactly explain what you mean by your sentence and your definition
of the 'public' word ?
Anyway, what do you find wrong with this sentence :
'The LGPLed people used a public resource, plus their own sweat, to create
something good of their own. That's good. But they haven't poisoned the
public resource.'
