ok, I've done it like this (please confirm this is correct, as I've never
merged with msgmerge before):

msgmerge -o p2p_localized_msg.po \
     p2p_localized_msg-da_DK.po p2p_localized_msg.pot

where:
  - p2p_localized_msg.po (the new .po file (output from msgmerge))
  - p2p_localized_msg-da_DK.po (my previous translation)
  - p2p_localized_msg.pot (the new .po template)

No problem. Another thing, though. The way some of the long text strings are
split up into several substrings may prove to be difficult to handle in the
future for us translators. I say this, because I may break the lines in
different places than the original English text in order to better match the
width of the text lines.

So when a string in msgidX is updated in the English template, this will
create a fuzzy entry in my msgstrX. But the updated English text may in fact
correspond to my Danish text in msgstrY instead.

If possible, I'd like to be credited with mail address as well. Like this:

Frederik Dannemare ([email protected])

This way users of the Danish translation can easily reach me for comments on
the translation.
