What kind of features does it use? For example, environment mapping is
going to be slow (or even crash) if the drivers do not provide Pbuffers
(GLX_SGIX_pbuffer). I've recently seen that the ATI FireGL drivers
provide ATI_render_texture which would be better than Pbuffers for this
purpose, but I have not been able to find a spec for it. But with a
7000, I presume you're using DRI, not FireGL. In that case, you'll be
out of luck until DRI implements either of those extensions.
