I can't find any dead107d in the code anywhere. Are you able to attach gdb to the wine process and see if you can catch a backtrace of this strange segfault when it occurs? (You probably don't want to attach too early, though, or you might come upon a large bunch of expected segfaults.) > trace:seh:EXC_RtlRaiseException code=80000100 flags=1 addr=0x7600f1 > trace:seh:EXC_RtlRaiseException info[0]=40c1b2e0 > trace:seh:EXC_RtlRaiseException info[1]=40c1b2f3 > trace:seh:EXC_RtlRaiseException stub=ValidatePixelShader The game doesn't do this for me either. Do you have a different version of Generals than I have or something? Seems it may be thinking for some reason that we have pixel shader capability. Which is very strange, considering that WineX don't report such capability at this time. But at least this particular error can relatively easily be worked around, I guess. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
