That is really odd. I can't find any dead107d in the code anywhere. Are
you able to attach gdb to the wine process and see if you can catch a
backtrace of this strange segfault when it occurs? (You probably don't
want to attach too early, though, or you might come upon a large bunch
of expected segfaults.)

The game doesn't do this for me either. Do you have a different version
of Generals than I have or something? Seems it may be thinking for some
reason that we have pixel shader capability. Which is very strange,
considering that WineX don't report such capability at this time.

But at least this particular error can relatively easily be worked
around, I guess.
