just create a file foo.reg and cut and paste the contents of my mail
between --cut--here-- into it, then simply doubleklick on foo.reg.

reboot and you will know if it works.

A problem that can affect the start of the service is when you configure
more than one cipe peer setting but try to use the same udp port for
each peer setting. The resut is that the service refuses to start as it
can not define itself as listening twice on the same socket.

Have fun

Stuart

This, I believe is the clue that I am really after. I am so tired of
reinstalling windows every time I want something cool to run.

sooo. To make sure I don't hose my machine: cut here and how to do
correctly? ( I could do it, but I don't _really_ know what I am doing.)
I
have not broken this machine by editing the registry, nor have I fixed
it
yet by editing the registry.

Do I restore a .reg file with this data in it? Or should I just
make/change the entries by hand. Or are both correct? (and to backup I
just make .reg file(s) of each hive?)

Thank you very much!
