Hi, did anyone manage to get cipe 1.6.0 running on a SuSE 9.1 system? I, so far, haven't been successful. I'm using SuSE's kernel 2.6.5-7.104-default. No problems occured during compiling and installing cipe. But when I try to start ciped I get the following output: # /usr/local/sbin/ciped-cb debug -o /etc/cipe/options CIPE daemon vers 1.6.0 (c) Olaf Titz 1996-2003 device=(none) debug=yes cipher=(none) ipaddr=10.243.1.199 ptpaddr=10.243.1.198 mask= bcast= mtu=0 metric=0 cttl=0 me=62.178.141.194:32431 peer=80.108.65.127:32431 key=(secret) nokey=no socks= tokxc=0 tokey=0 ipup=(none) ipdown=(none) arg=(none) maxerr=8 stayalive=no piddir=(none) tokxts=0 ping=0 toping=0 dynip=no hwaddr=(none) ifconfig=no checksum=no ignoredf=no forcemtu=no Using cipcb0 index 0 Segmentation fault --------------------------------------------- And the kernel module says: Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: cipcb0: alloc Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: cipcb0: setpar Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: crypto_alloc_tfm `blowfish-internal' Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: cipe_alloc_tfm 'blowfish-internal' Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: cipe_alloc_tfm: tfm=e3ab8000 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: cipe_alloc_tfm 'blowfish-internal' Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: cipe_alloc_tfm: tfm=f357e000 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: cipe_alloc_tfm 'blowfish-internal' Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: cipe_alloc_tfm: tfm=e9ab0000 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: cipcb0: setpar 0.0.0.0:0 10000 600000 0200 0 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: cipcb0: setkey Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: cipcb0: setkey 1 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: lebf_cit_setkey: tfm=e3ab8000 ctx=e3ab802c Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000000 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: printing eip: Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: fa9cbba4 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: *pde = 00000000 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: Oops: 0002 [#1] Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: CPU: 0 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: EIP: 0060:[__crc_lookup_mnt+1631687/2689539] Tainted: PF U Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: EIP: 0060:[<fa9cbba4>] Tainted: PF U Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: EFLAGS: 00010282 (2.6.5-7.104-default) Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: EIP is at Blowfish_ExpandUserKey+0x14/0x27 [cipcb] Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: eax: f6391e58 ebx: e3ab802c ecx: 00000412 edx: 00000010 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: esi: fa9cbce0 edi: 00000000 ebp: cdd8759c esp: f6391dc8 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: ds: 007b es: 007b ss: 0068 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: Process ciped-cb (pid: 9486, threadinfo=f6390000 task=f72cc220) Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: Stack: f6391e58 00000010 cdd8759c e3ab802c fa9cb4 e4 cdd87400 e3ab8000 00000000 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: fa9c909b 00000000 00000046 00000001 00000000 00000046 00000000 f6391f30 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: 00000001 f6391e4f c02087e4 00000001 c0108d48 c18c2200 00000feb 00000014 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: Call Trace: Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [__crc_lookup_mnt+1629959/2689539] lebf_cit_setkey+0x24/0x30 [cipcb] Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [<fa9cb4e4>] lebf_cit_setkey+0x24/0x30 [cipcb] Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [__crc_lookup_mnt+1620670/2689539] cipe_dev_ioctl+0x8db/0x9d0 [cipcb] Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [<fa9c909b>] cipe_dev_ioctl+0x8db/0x9d0 [cipcb] Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [pty_write+356/448] pty_write+0x164/0x1c0 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [<c02087e4>] pty_write+0x164/0x1c0 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [common_interrupt+24/32] common_interrupt+0x18/0x20 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [<c0108d48>] common_interrupt+0x18/0x20 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [tty_default_put_char+23/32] tty_default_put_char+0x17/0x20 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [<c0202677>] tty_default_put_char+0x17/0x20 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [__crc_lookup_mnt+1618403/2689539] cipe_dev_ioctl+0x0/0x9d0 [cipcb] Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [<fa9c87c0>] cipe_dev_ioctl+0x0/0x9d0 [cipcb] Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [dev_ifsioc+230/880] dev_ifsioc+0xe6/0x370 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [<c027e7c6>] dev_ifsioc+0xe6/0x370 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [dev_ioctl+785/1120] dev_ioctl+0x311/0x460 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [<c027ed61>] dev_ioctl+0x311/0x460 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [sock_setsockopt+112/1392] sock_setsockopt+0x70/0x570 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [<c02786c0>] sock_setsockopt+0x70/0x570 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [sock_ioctl+155/576] sock_ioctl+0x9b/0x240 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [<c02767bb>] sock_ioctl+0x9b/0x240 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [sys_ioctl+662/1040] sys_ioctl+0x296/0x410 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [<c0169a26>] sys_ioctl+0x296/0x410 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [sock_ioctl+0/576] sock_ioctl+0x0/0x240 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [<c0276720>] sock_ioctl+0x0/0x240 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [sysenter_past_esp+82/121] sysenter_past_esp+0x52/0x79 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: [<c0107dc9>] sysenter_past_esp+0x52/0x79 Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: Aug 9 10:05:03 franz kernel: Code: f3 a5 8b 7c 24 1c bd 12 00 00 00 8b 74 24 14 8b 4c 24 18 ac ------------------------------------------------- Any Ideas? -Rainer -- Message sent by the [email protected] mailing list.
