Whatever is causing the FC2 problem must be an FC2 problem, not a 2.6
kernel problem.  I have run 1.6.0pre1 with the lebf.c patch using a
variety of 2.6.n kernels on systems that are otherwise mostly FC1.
(They started out as FC1, then had various things added and updated).
