Isn't is always the case: a small benign problem rears its little head.. you quickly cut it off..and the next thing you know.. you've got the proverbial hydra of horrendous issues.. I had a hard drive failure earlier this week, not such a bad problem. I replaced it, restored some data from backup.. and all seemed well.. Then, out of the blue... some strange segfaulting here and there.. reminiscent of bad RAM.. then a hard lockup.. then another. You gotta love UNIX. I won't bother to blather on about the downward spiral that quickly ensued. But, I do apologize for any bounces, or bizarre pks-related mails anyone's reveived during the past few days. I believe I'm out of the woods for now, the box seems happy again.. and I'm considering buying a new server to replace this poor abused box within the next few weeks. -E
