Hello! I'm trying to get fusermount working as a normal user but it seems as if this doesn't work for me. I did the following: 1. create an empty directory in my home dir: mkdir ~/abcd 2. fusermount it with: fusermount /home/leidola/abcd/ [FULL_PATH_TO_FUSE_DIST]/example/fusexmp -d This results in: fusermount: failed to set capabilities: Operation not permitted fusermount: failed to restore capabilities: Operation not permitted fusermount: failed to set capabilities: Operation not permitted and I'm back in prompt. This DOES work as root. Output: fusermount: failed to set capabilities: Operation not permitted fusermount: failed to restore capabilities: Operation not permitted But the program isn't returning. I can access the files in ~/abcd After CTRL^C : /usr/bin/fusermount: failed to set capabilities: Operation not permitted /usr/bin/fusermount: failed to restore capabilities: Operation not permitted Some background information: -rwsr-sr-x 1 root root 51537 2004-08-14 22:58 /usr/bin/fusermount uname -sr sais: Linux 2.6.7-ck5 I'm running Debian/Sarge (testing) Thanks for any hints, Ciao, Olaf Leidinger ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by Shop4tech.com-Lowest price on Blank Media 100pk Sonic DVD-R 4x for only $29 -100pk Sonic DVD+R for only $33 Save 50% off Retail on Ink & Toner - Free Shipping and Free Gift. http://www.shop4tech.com/z/Inkjet_Cartridges/9_108_r285
