No, if it's optional it shouldn't be a problem. I moved it right there
and it works as expected. I added an entry "symlink_rewrite" to
"/#avfsstat" which triggers this. This way the mountavfs script can
activate the rewriting code by writing "1" to this entry.

BTW, this symlink problem should only affect the coda and the fuse
module or do I oversee something?
