Hi, Maureen:
After some time spending in debugging intersync, I can say that
the error message is just warning message. If it was generated during the
automatic synchronization process without confliction, it's OK.
The message will come up when one machine create a file and then delete it,
when synchronize with other machines, the replication of this file will
return error, thus make Job backfetch failed with error 2.
It's OK for such scenario.

Subject: Error Message Help

I have intersync set up to run between two computers, one the server and
the other the client (obviously). Lately (I do not know for how long
this has been happening), I am getting a curious error message.

When a change happens on the server side, I see this error on the
console of the client:

(session.c: is_run_context L242): JOB_BACKFETCH failed, rc: 2)

The change, however, propagates to the client correctly. I see no
errors when a change happens on the client (and the change propagates to
the server correctly).

What does this error mean? How can I correct it? I mentioned that the
synchronization appears to be happening despite the error, which is
still true, but intersync now shuts down every hour or so, so this is
somewhat serious.

I posted this to the "regular" discussion list and received no response;
sorry for the cross posting here. Thanks for any help anyone can pitch
in.

Thanks!

- maureen
