which build of XP SP2 are you using?
what are the contents of the %WINDIR%\TEMP\afsd_init.log file?

do you have the same problem if you do not install the Loopback adapter?

please try the latest daily build and get back to me ASAP.  We are 
releasing 1.3.70 in the morning and it is supposed to work with XP SP2.
